connect to irc.debian.org, and /join #debian-edu there.

Never heard of those, but most companies offer software that supports
either linux natively, or runs with Java VM.
I am just a teacher, myself, and couldn't help any forther. Maybe search
the web for: "porting module driver kernel 2.4 2.6"
