[Bug 1450] New: no login on diskless clients in 192-net

http://bugs.skolelinux.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1450

Summary: no login on diskless clients in 192-net
           Product: Skolelinux
           Version: lenny-rc2
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P3
         Component: Configuration
        AssignedTo: debian-edu@lists.debian.org
        ReportedBy: andi.mundt@web.de

I installed a mainserver+ltspserver as well as a terminalserver lenny rc2-edu1
without issues.

After that, I wanted to boot the clients in the subnet as diskless workstation.
The manual
http://wiki.debian.org/DebianEdu/Documentation/Lenny/HowTo/NetworkClients
states:

"If one wants clients on the 192.168.x.x interface of a thin client server to
boot as diskless workstations instead of thin clients, edit

/var/lib/tftpboot/ltsp/i386/pxelinux.cfg/default

and add a '3' (no quotes) to the end of the line."

I did that, and indeed, the client booted as diskless client, but I could not
log in.
Syslog on the mainserver reports:

Mar 23 17:47:33 ltsp200 kdm: :0[2258]: pam_ldap: ldap_starttls_s: Connect error

whenever attempting to log in.
