I agree that it is unfortunate to have this error message, but have not found
time to investigate the problem and am unsure if if is safe to disable the
init.d script the way you propose.  As far as I know this error is only
confusing, and do not affect the functions of the server, and thus believe we
should not try to fix it this late in the release process.
