let's just create our own page. it contains a handful of ubuntu-isms, and seems
a little more complicated than i think is really necessary.

i like to start with the simplest, easiest steps, and then work towards a more
complicated setup.

that seems to just jump straight into configuring everything, which seems
unecessary.
