i added a fix to debian-edu-install svn that runs ltsp-update-kernels in the
firstboot script. that should work around the problem, at least.
this also works around it:
ifdown eth1 ; ifup eth1
i'm guessing the cause is that /opt/ltsp/i386 isn't mounted when the interfaces
are brought up?
