This was introduced in svn r5892 and removed in r58359.
It is not related to this bug and didn't hang the installer when installed from
netinstall CD.
Apparently the package linux-image-486 is available on the web but missing from
the DVD. This is the virtual package responsible to install the latest 486
kernel and modules through dependence on latest linux-image-x.x.xx-x-486.
I guess it must be included (with its dependence).
