That doesn't change the situation. Konstantinos is no more a DD, as
you can check on LDAP or db.d.o, so he can't be active with that
address on the package, hence the bug report.

If he was still active, he could have updated his address by now. And
the changelog confirms his last contribution was back in 2006.

Moreover, to address the second sentence, if you know of some
maintainer in a MIA state, you should notify mia@qa.d.o or if only not
working on a package, you can kindly ask them if they are still
interested in that package.

file as in "collection of documents, files and information about the
maintainer status as tracked in MIA database": is that better for you?

> This sounds like a campaign for work with no real use to me,

Please don't judge people work without even inform what it's about.

It's not a MBF: you can see like it because I tried to elaborate the
backlog we had in the mia tracking database, and we were (and for some
situation are) years later. Do you consider working in batch a bad
thing?

Done (both).

I marked as "retired" just today because I elaborate his record today:
I noticed his has retired, I marked as such (so he won't appear
anymore in our reports) and open this bug.

I give *a lot* of time to reply to my pings, but here there's no reasons to.

> But you didnt tell this in this bug report, which you should have.

That's the only fair point you made so far: we need to improve the
template for such bugs. I'll do it, thanks for notice.

mh? appropriate or sensible? If a person listed in
Maintainers/Uploaders field does not work on a package (as in this
case) we should remove it: what's the point in have fields listings
people responsible for package when they are not?

never discussed? did you try to google for it? with this query "mia
debian-devel-announce site:debian.org" I can find several results,
some are here listed:

- http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel-announce/2007/12/msg00005.html
(and you're listed to the attendees of this meeting)
- several others

Also there's the wiki pages at [1] so it seems a rather known area.

Hope I clarified the situation,
