As standalone player I agree with you[1]
But this is *not* standalone players, and Petter did a nice job
defining/collecting various qualities as basis of comparison:

[1] For a reeeeally slick interface, have a look at "woohaa". I am
fighting to get that gstreamer- and libclutter-based player to work.
