Hi all. First of all, excuse me to crossposting in pkg-ltsp-devel and debian-edu. I have a small thin client eTC 2300/eBox 2300 [1] with a sis7019 audio controller. LTSP team provides in the wiki [2] an old OSS driver and recently with new kernels (>= 2.6.25) David Dillow port to ALSA (snd-sis7019). Only in Debian unstable have a new kernel and I have patched and design Makefile to build out-of-kernel-tree and in old (<2.6.25) kernels. [3] This sources generate sis7019-alsa-backport-sources package that can be build with module-assistant. You can grab upstream diff [4] to patch and build without this package or download complete svn: svn co https://www.tcosproject.org/svn/tcos/trunk/sis7019-alsa-backport cd sis7019-alsa-backport debuild dpkg -i ../sis7019*deb m-a build, install sis7019-alsa-backport OR make KVER=2.6.xxxxx main install KVER=2.6.xxxx I'm testing right now and sound works very good (Banshee + gstreamer + PulseAudio). Perhaps some one can upload to Debian/Ubuntu backports to make happy a lot of 2300 owners.
