This seems to me the right place to look if there is someone
interested in sponsoring a package I made.

The package is gvb
(http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/g/gvb/gvb_1.1.2-1.dsc), a
nice waves/vibrations simulators that aims at giving a very simple and
nice interface (thanks to use of Gtk, Glade, libcairo) to play with
them. It is written in Python and relies on scipy for the
calculations. It is intended to handle vibrations on a string or a
membrane (though in 2 dimensions it has strong limits - from 15 to 40
depending on calculation method and CPU power - in number of points
per dimension).

I see it as interesting both for the study of waves, armonics etc...
than for a more advanced look to discretization systems (there are
different calculation methods, with different pros and cons, but this
"more advanced look" maybe exulates from the intents of "edu" list).

It is completely GPL v.3. I am the upstream developer. More info can
be found here: http://poisson.phc.unipi.it/~battiston/gvb

The package appears to be lintian clean.

Thank you for your attention.
