In my opinion, a laptop, that are supposed to be used in an offline environment
(like @home), is best installed as a standalone. This I also told the person
that was installing this laptop, but he did not agree, cause "he also wanted to
connect to the server when at school". If he had installed the laptop as a
standalone unit with local user(s), he would not have had any problem. that is
what I ment when I wrote "I guess he learned why he should install laptops as
standalone, and not as
workstations."
