Very understandable - but now it has caught up a lot.

Konqueror integrates much better into KDE and also KDE multimedia
plugins. Once, you have made konqueror to use both, Java and Flash, it
should be working fine with most applications. Maybe, as a last tweak,
you need to change its id string to Mozilla.

I suppose, that this was due to outage of RAM. How much memory does your
LTSP have? Did you activate swapping? My experience is that GIMP needs
more RAM, but performs faster than other tools.

Gimp, Openoffice, and Mozilla Firefox are the most famous free
applications, I guess.

What is other's experience with GIMP on thin client networks?
