Localisation to East-African Languages
Dear List,
this weekend we will have a Skolelinux seminar with teachers from Kenya.
I shall suggest to do some localisations to languages like
- Kisuaheli (spoken by 50 millions)
- Kikuyu (spoken by 8 millions).
(in comparism: Sami is spoken by 70,000).
Apart from Debian core strings (installer etc.), I could imagine to
localize apps like kturtle so you can talk to the turtle in native
tongues.
Now I wonder, if there have already been such projects, so we can join
forces?
Regards
Ralf
