thank you for trying Skolelinux. I am unexperienced with VMWare, but to find 
your problem (which is probable no bug at all) we need at least one more 
information: What profile did you choose (Mainserver/Workstation/...)?

Unless you can configure more than one NIC with VMWare, I suggest you try 
installation either with the standallone profile or you combine mainserver 
(tjener) with workstation.
