meeting tonight

Hi all

I am sorry to announce that I am unable to attend the meeting tonight because
of some family reasons. But I am looking forward to the IRC log.

One remark before I start with my notes. Because of my big relocate to
australia I want to mention that there will be a time difference of 8-10
hours (depends on summer or winter time). Please keep that in mind when you
schedule the next meetings, though I will try to wake up during the nights.

Here are some of my notes:

Autopartitioning is not yet working. I am working a bit on autopartkit. We
should at least test it with newer libparted from unstable. Therefore it
should be discussed if we can include it into our etch-test pool. Maybe
someone can even contact debian-boot and ask them if they plan to propagate
libparted1.7 to etch in a timely manner or not?
It seems that autopartkit has currently some problems with making the
partitions on the disc.
I am looking forward to ronny's status report as I guess partman-auto is the
future.
Beside that we should also work on making sure that the installer is
completely working. I don't know the status of the udeb transitions in
testing and therefore can't say if the installer is working or not.
But I am sure we will find a solution and the debian-boot team was so kind to
provide us good help if we need it.
I can leave the rest or the report for Ronny, cause he even knows the status
and can give you more answers on possible questions.
Please notice that I want to give high priority on our installer and want to
focus the development of the next weeks on that one. I know that a lot of
people (also includes myself) are spending a lot of their free software time
on other packages but a focused work on the installer for 2 weeks would be
nice and can hopefully fix a lot of our problems.
Last but not least my thanks and regards to all of you and keep up the good
work.

Greetings
Steffen
