Re: Translate Apache Index Page, please
Hi Ralf,
if you ever tried the default portal http://tjener.intern recently,
you
might have noticed that there is a Skolelinux page now instead of
apache default.
I saw an error in those pages. It states:
If the public_html catalog exists, but it is empty, you will get the
«Permission Denied» error page. To change this, create
the index.html file inside the public_html catalog.
In my installation Apache was set up to allow directory listings in
the userdirs. I assume that is still the case and would therefore
recommend to remove that sentence.
Also the language links (to the other translations) should be in the
target language. So for example on the document document the link to
the English version should say "English" or to the French one it
should say "Français". After all these links are intended for the
people who wants to click these links (and maybe only knows that
language) and not for the people who know the source language.
debian.org does that correctly for example.
I will fix that error in the existing translations as well.
And my Spanish translation will arrive in a few minutes.
Patrice
