i just used my ltsp chroot/qemu environment :)

ok, that patch almost worked, but i'm not savvy enough to figure out how
to fix it, but hopefully the following information will prove useful.

with the patch, the questions end up being owned by xserver-xorg, but
the actual questions still use the xserver-xfree86 namespace:

debconf-show xserver-xorg

* shared/default-x-server: xserver-xfree86
* xserver-xfree86/config/inputdevice/mouse/emulate3buttons: true
* xserver-xfree86/config/device/identifier: Cirrus Logic GD 5446
* xserver-xfree86/config/display/modes: 1152x864, 1024x768, 800x600,
* 640x480
* xserver-xfree86/config/monitor/horiz-sync: 28-50
* xserver-xfree86/config/inputdevice/keyboard/rules: xfree86

not sure what sets shared/default-x-server to xserver-xfree86, and the
questions xserver-xfree86/* should be changed to xserver-xorg/*, and
xserver-xorg/config/inputdevice/keyboard/rules should probably also get
set to "xorg".

also, the xdebconfigurator output uses some xfree86-isms(some of which
may also get represented in debconf data):

POSSIBLE XSERVER: xfree86
XSERVER 3:
XSERVER 4: xfree86
DEBIAN PACKAGE: xserver-xfree86
...snip...
KEYBOARD RULES: xfree86

live well,
