[Bug 648] max groups in kernel is defined to 16 over NFS

http://bugs.skolelinux.no/show_bug.cgi?id=648

------- Additional Comments From ragnar@wisloff.no 2005-10-15 12:45 -------
As Petter comments, there is a patch contained in a Debian package that
increases the number of groups each user can be a member of, and have recognised
when the home dir is mounted using NFS, to 32.

If we want to apply this patch we most likely need to ship custom kernels. That
is not desirable. The other possibility is to make available documentation
enabling sys admins to apply the patch and produce a custom kernel.

Comments welcome within 10 days. The bug will otherwise be closed with WONTFIX.
