The font issue was not the biggest problem. As you wrote it is such a
matter of replacing it with some other free font.
While the SqueakL contains the four freedooms, the problem is more about
the Indemnification Clause:

Nevertheless, I personnaly consider Squeak as free software, althought
there legal risk to redistribute it. This is why we decided to
distribute it wihtin our next freeduc-cd (http://www.ofset.org/freeduc-cd).
However I am not sure it is acceptable to Debian.
