I can add to this bugrepoert a "funny" story.
Someone I know, not well into Skolelinux/Linux/Thinclients, wanted to shutdown
his clients, and he was using the Sarge version, so I tried the option from kdm
on the thinclient that said "shutdown", and gave the root-password when asked.
Result, the server went down, but not the thinclient.

Later he wondered why none of his thinclients worked, and all had this strange
grey screen.

So, this is definetly a bothersom bug.
