The main reason would be that the Debian maintainer would be unaware of
the tweaks/hacks done to Skolelinux, and thus risk wasting time looking
for the cause of a bug in the wrong places. This is off course not the
case if Joey is maintaining Debian Installer, but I think he is not
alone in this task, and maybe not all knows how harmless that "single
added udeb" might be.
So, I propose for the "bug-reporting for dummies" to recommend
mentioning in bugreports that Skolelinux is used. This gives the Debian
packager that small hint of "maybe those Skolelinux guys added a single
udeb to the chain that makes/reveals errors in the preseeding, so I
better check with them if the bugreport should be moved to their own
system".
