Weekly report week 31, Knut Yrvin



* Meetings

- Making a draft of the translation-plan of OpenOffice with 
  some of the translators: Axel and Thomas.
- Giving lectures to Alexandro Dias about testing for errors in
  OpenOffice

* Work

- Helping Andreas to make a work description
- Wrote a short article about licensing concerning the work that will
  be done with the spellchecking program for the Sami people with 3 of
  their dialects
- Used 28 hours to explain that SLX Debian Labs cant go out publicly
  with a lot of information when negotiating with private companies
- Prepared the whole OpenOffice-testing-plan with Alexandro Dias
- Take contact with the security and maintenance-team in Skolelinux to
  get a proposal in how we should "flag" the restart-issue when doing
  security patches. A lot of security-fixes don't need restart, but
  the kernel-updates does. (SLX, Debian Edu)
- Taking contact with In/Out and others to make a "save work hours"
  when changing broken SCSI-disks at schools. (TC,IO,SLX)
- Make weekly rapport for week 31 Monday August the 2th 2004. (KY)
- Making a proposal for a job description to Andreas Schuldei (w30)
- Getting the books, and explain why O3-people got their well deserved
  salary late

* Next step

- Following up the O3-salary issue
- Following up the 03-testing
- Complete the project-plan
- Making a LTSP, NoMachine, Half-thick-client project-plan. (LTSP-Jim,
  FAJ, RW)
- Making a leadership guide for how to facilitate open source projects
  (VB)
- Following up the question about making Debian Edu weekly news (VB)
