This is for RC2. 

When you try to add a W2K computer to the domain everything works fine untill
you are asked to give a username and a password for adding the computer. You get
an reply that says the username (root) can't be found.

Finn-Arne told me:

"What happens is, that when we tries to add a new machine, the password is
overwritten in some mysteries way. 
The smbadmin password that is."
