non-free?

Hi,
	The instruction to set apt-source for skolelinux at
http://developer.skolelinux.no/apt-kilde.html.en, refers to
contrib and non-free. Is they are mandatory for upgrading 
skolelinux? I mean is there any non-free package in skolelinux?
