The workaround described in norwegian:
Har vært borti maskiner med sær hardware hvor GRUB ikke lot seg
installere, LILO derimot gikk rett inn. For å bytte ut GRUB med LILO så
starter du installasjonen med denne besvergelsen, istedenfor å bare
trykke [ENTER]:
boot:linux DEBCONF_PRIORITY=medium
då får du opp en litt mer omfattende installasjonsmeny, bare svar
bekreftene på alle spm, og velg tilslutt LILO istedenfor GRUB.
