[Bug 629] Grub doesn't boot

What error messages ? 

I have seen problems when the partition table did not fit the disk. Neither lilo
nor Grub managed to install. I was able to install a lilo using knoppix on this
box. later, booting from a grub-floppy, I was able to install Grub, but that was
after we had faought a bit with the geometry using the bios++

But again, what error messages are you getting
