stable update: debian-edu-config



Debian-Edu/Skolelinux Stable Package Update

The Debian-Edu/Skolelinux developers have updated the following
package(s) in the stable repository. We advise you to upgrade to 
the newest stable version.


Package: debian-edu-config
New version: 0.415.0.edu.etch.2+svn38891

The new debian-edu-config packages fixes several important and normal bugs and 
adds several enhancements. 
Among the bugs fixed: upgrades with sudo (#1271) works now, a bug with 
machines joining the domain was fixed (#1269), /skole/tjener/home0/ is 
created also for manual partitioning (#1276), a bug in the mailconfiguration 
(#1264), a bug regarding access to local cdroms on diskless workstations 
(#1234) and others.
There were also several enhancements, for example nagios now complains later 
(at 10% free space left instead of 20%) about full disks and an icon will be 
created on the pupils desktop which enables them to their password.


Upgrade Instructions
----------------------

Make sure the line

        deb http://ftp.skolelinux.org/skolelinux/ etch local

is present in your /etc/apt/sources.list and run 'aptitude update' to
update your package lists. Then run
        
        'aptitude upgrade'

to upgrade the package mentioned above. This might upgrade other
packages too, and if you only want to upgrade the package above, you
should run

        'aptitude install debian-edu-config'



The official CD(s)/DVD will not be updated immediately, but when we release a 
new point release. Then the new package version will be included onto the 
CD(s)/DVD.
