Hi folks,
We are all excited about next weeks event. Many people worked hard for this. I would like to tell a few points upfront so that we don't get disappointed later.
First, the main aim of this event is to share knowledge, learn and contribute. We will not measure success or failure by number of people attending. So please don't tell it is a great success because we had 100 people attending or our hard work is wasted because only 10 people came. We will not worry about people who don't turn up - for whatever reason. Our focus will be to help those who come for the event. Even if we get a new package in debian and one maintainer we can say it was worth the effort.
