I've updated the dpkg bug [1] to kindly ask for decompression support
in Bullseye which would enable adding compression support in Bookworm
which is most likely due to be released in 2023. Since the Linux
kernel added zstd support for btrfs in 2017 [2] support in Bookworm
would be more than a half decade from what I'd consider wide adoption.
