[PATCH v3 0/2] Running maintscripts for a different architecture

Dear dpkg developers,

this is v3 of the patches I sent last summer. The patches are rebased
on current master. They've been in use in a production environment since
then.

Since there've been no more comments since I sent v2, I assume you just
forgot about these patches. Please apply or give more feedback.
