Yes, all the latest branches (Guillem's pu/multiarch/master or my
pu/multiarch/full) have --assert-multiarch already.

For guillem: git://git.hadrons.org/git/debian/dpkg.git
For me: git://git.debian.org/~hertzog/dpkg.git
