Bug#247313: dpkg-dev: dpkg-buildpackage says "source maintainer is ?" but means "Changed-by ?"
Package: dpkg-dev
Version: 1.10.21
Severity: minor
When building gnome-panel 2.4.2-4, I get this first 4 lines:
dpkg-buildpackage: source package is gnome-panel
dpkg-buildpackage: source version is 2.4.2-4
dpkg-buildpackage: source maintainer is Christian Marillat <marillat@debian.org>
dpkg-buildpackage: host architecture is i386
which puzzled me, because the maintainer in debian/control is QA.
It turns out that the actual value listed the name in the most recent
changelog entry is, which will be copied to the 'changed-by' field in
the .changes.
Please change the description to reflect that fact, it currently is
wrong: the source maintainer isn't Marillat, merely this very upload is
done by Marillat.
