Bug#222760: dpkg-dev: Bogus warning about md5sum error
Package: dpkg-dev
Version: 1.9.21
Severity: important
Trying to build a package I get this error message reported from
dpkg-source:
dpkg-source -b cbmlink-0.9.7
dpkg-source: building cbmlink using existing cbmlink_0.9.7.orig.tar.gz
dpkg-source: failure: md5sum gave bogus output `'
I can't see why, since md5sum works fine on the file if issued from the
command line:
$ md5sum cbmlink_0.9.7.orig.tar.gz
97df5639761cba3d021641d91c96028b cbmlink_0.9.7.orig.tar.gz
The build directory is mounted over nfs, if that might have anything to do
with it? I did have some problems with unstable dpkg over nfs in bug 205011,
but that was a very different error message (I'm mounting from the same
server, though).
