Version: 1.4.0.34
Severity: wishlist

I think it might be nice if the prerm script were to be called with a
"purge" argument before the conffiles are removed during the purge
phase of package removal. I have a use for such a facility.
(This would come immediately before step 5 in section 6.5 of the
Packaging Manual.)

thanks

Hi,

dpkg (1.10.11) unstable; urgency=low

   * Anthony Towns <aj@azure.humbug.org.au>:
     Retry removing empty dirs during purge. Closes: #112386

This bug was supposed to have been merged with #58878 and the rest by
aj in http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=34589&msg=13
but it was missed.
