Hi.

I tried to reproduce this bug but wasn't successful. Neither on stable
nor unstable. Can anyone reproduce this bug?

I can't even find a command in install-info from dpkg that can
possibly issue the error message stated in the bug.

@submitter: Your second mail implies that you have more than one
install-info excecutable installed. Is this true? Can this be the
cause of error, such that the wrong (= non-dpkg) install-info is
called?
