This is not an urgent issue anyway. The current status is somewhat
better than base-files trying to fix bugs in other packages.

The dpkg postinst would probably create the /usr/info symlink again in
the next dpkg upgrade, or worse, upgrades from woody to sarge may,
or may not, end up having /usr/info as a symlink, or not, depending on
the order in which packages are upgraded.

There is not any package in woody which places its info files in /usr/info,
so there is no reason for /usr/info to exist at all in sarge. I hope
dpkg maintainers consider removing /usr/info before sarge release.
I will happily remove it from base-files as soon as that happens.
