Works fine here.

lime:[~] dpkg-source -b hello-2.1.1
dpkg-source: building hello using existing hello_2.1.1.orig.tar.gz
dpkg-source: building hello in hello_2.1.1-1.diff.gz
dpkg-source: building hello in hello_2.1.1-1.dsc
lime:[~] mount
mizar:/space/nfsroot/lime on / type nfs (rw)

What are you running on the NFS server? Are you mounting with any options?
