Bug#142324: [ER] Should add homepage URL in package description

Package: dpkg
Version: 1.9.20

Hello there, I know this is more an enhancement request than a bug
report, but not having it is really (I feel) painful. The bug by itself
is mostly :

"There is no simple way to access a package/project homepage
from the debian package description pages
(e.g. http://packages.debian.org/unstable/interpreters/python2.1.html)"

A link to the project homepage would be really appreciable and helpful,
for example when you are reading the DWN which has links pointing to
these pages.
Such information could also be used by admin tools like gnome-apt and
others to make a browser point to the url if the user requests it.

Hope this helps, I finally decided to log this as a bug on dpkg system,
after some years being tired not to have it ;-)

Continue your great job, dpkg/apt & Co is really the best packaging
system I've ever seen ;-)
