I haven't seen any response to my suggestion for splitting off the Bugs-* fields into a seperate file and adding only an Origin field: Origin: Debian Depends: origin-debian origin-debian provides a file /etc/origin/Debian, used by bug-submission (and other) software. origin-debian can even suggest bug | reportbug. Omit the depends if origin-debian is in base. I'd honestly like to hear if this is a bad idea... -itai
