Subject: dpkg: dpkg -h sends output to stderr instead of stdout
To: submit@bugs.debian.org
X-Mailer: bug 3.1.0

Package: dpkg
Version: 1.4.0.20

This is something that has been bugging me since debian0.93! When asking
dpkg for command infomation (ie. dpkg -h --force-help) it pipes it to stderr
instead of stdout. Very irritating especially if you wanna pipe it to more.

And yes I do know about 2> /dev/stdout...

toodles,

chris
