Bug#1110507: release-notes: Document that dhcpcd-base doesn't require separate inet/inet6 lines in /etc/network/interfaces
Package: release-notes
Severity: normal
X-Debbugs-Cc: martin-eric.racine@iki.fi
Starting with Trixie, dhcpcd-base replaces isc-dhcp-client as the default DHCP client used by ifupdown. The key difference is that dhcpcd handles both IPv4 and IPv6 stacks, so /etc/network/interfaces doesn't require separate inet and inet6 lines.
See /usr/share/doc/dhcpcd-base/NEWS.Debian.gz for details.
