Package: release-notes Severity: wishlist Tags: bullseye X-Debbugs-Cc: zhsj@debian.org, byang@debian.org This is following up for #926723, which is "fcitx may not working with Wayland in buster". The fcitx upstream releases fcitx5 recently, named the "the next generation" of fcitx, which is available in bullseye, and supports wayland. The old fcitx's version will remain 4.x, but will still be maintained in bullseye. But users are highly recommended to use fcitx5, especially wayland users. However tasksel of task-chinese-s-desktop and task-chinese-t-desktop is still recommending fcitx, not fcitx5 currently.
