Package: release-notes

I discovered a weird phenomenon in the pdf versions of the
release-notes.
In special cases, words with non-ASCII characters are displayed
incorrectly, the characters are mixed up within the word.
Example:	in the html-version I read:	»Dynamic MMap«
while the same in pdf is:	»Dynamic «MMap

This is the case in text type "screen" (which is used to quote commands
or output from console, that is displayed on darker-grey background).

Characters that are known to be problematic are the german umlauts
ä ö ü and the »« quote signs.

To see this in real in the release-notes, go to
http://www.debian.org/releases/squeeze/i386/release-notes/ch-upgrading.de.html#apt-error-operation
and watch line 2 to 4 of chapter 4.6.2 (the block quoted from
terminal).
You see: (what is correct)
  ____________________________________________
/
| E: Dynamic MMap ran out of room
| bzw.
| F: Nicht genügend Platz für »Dynamic MMap«
\____________________________________________

Now watch the same in the pdf variant
(from http://www.debian.org/releases/squeeze/releasenotes
I took the german i386 version).
You will find:
(the errors are in the last line)
  ____________________________________________
/
| E: Dynamic MMap ran out of room
| bzw.
| F: Nicht ügengend Platz üfr »Dynamic «MMap
\____________________________________________

           ^^^^ ^^^ ^^^^

Maybe there are other languages infected, too, I did not check.

That is fixed now, using the xetex backend on Wheezy.

I managed to display that correctly (after editing de/upgrading.po) in
the PDF, so you can finally remove your ASCII hacks. Sorry it took so
long to fix (needed an upgrade of all the *TeX tools).
