Package: release-notes

My Sarge box is a 486 with 32 MB ram. I know that neither the Sarge nor
the Etch installer will run with that. If I need to reinstall, I have
to use Woody and upgrade.

On Sarge, with only main in sources.list, and only aptitude running,
the system uses all of ram plus 8 MB swap.

I will attempt the upgrade once I have a backup plan incase of failure
(e.g. NetBSD CD). It would, however, be useful if the release-notes
indicated the minimum memory that was required for the upgrade procedure
presented.

Since I'm also short of disk space, I'll also remove most pacakges
beyond base ahead of time, then reinstall them once Etch is running.

Thanks

Doug.
