I think that's a good idea. to remove that alternative.

..and kwin package actually contains a *shared* library that other packages 
*link against* (yes, it is wrong, but that's what we have to live with now).

...maybe (gross hack) a transitional kwin package that has conflicts on 
whatever links the library? (especially the relevant lenny compiz stuff, the 
rest is just kwin plugins)
