Hmmm, that wording could suggest (or at least suggested to me on my
first reading of it) that the firmware will only be automatically loaded
on installation.

Maybe "If such firmware packages supporting hardware in the system are
installed, the firmware will be loaded automatically when required." ?
(although I'm not 100% happy with that wording either, tbh, I was mainly
trying to avoid saying "packages supporting installed hardware are
installed")
