I'm looking at that version and:

console-data (2:1.07-11) unstable; urgency=low
jfs@silicio:console-data-1.07$ grep -ir "select keymap" .
./debian/changelog:    Default choice is 'Select keymap from list' when the
user is presented

Am I missing something? Where is it?
