"some errors for the pdf version" means we can not use it for package if
pdf build is enabled. FTBFS is RC bug.
debiandoc-sgml version:
Oldstable 1.1.88
Backport to oldstable: 1.1.94+1.1.95bpo1
Stable 1.1.101
Testing 1.2.9
Unstable 1.2.9
Both "-X option" and "UTF-8 support for HTML/plain text" are only
available in 1.2.9 only. Its backport should take minimal efforts but I
did not try yet. I am busy with Debian reference (v2, English) in XML
now.
Since no one came to help UTF-8 support of debiandoc-sgml, its PDF/PS
support is not good. (I did my best for html and utf-8). I stop
building PDF for Debian Reference but moved it to UTF-8 even for older
translations.
Basically, whoever decides to use UTF-8 with debiandoc-sgml, their
document should not be build for PDF/PS or they should give patch to
latex header data.

Osamu
