Yes. Please join the work on debian-l10n-german. In essence:
a) Checkout the current version (see below, i.e. svn co
svn://svn.debian.org/ddp/manuals/trunk/release-notes/)
b) Tell us where you can help (on debian-l10-german), currently I
think upgrading.po needs urgently help. After that[1] add to the
translation (note that some other programms are cited, so check
their German output) and send patches to debian-l10n-german - or -
c) Proofread text and send patches to debian-l10n-german.
We'll help you gladly along on debian-l10n-german for further
questions (and in German).
