Bug#510648: developers-reference: Incorrect statement in the voting section?

Package: developers-reference
Version: 3.4.0
Severity: normal

Hello,

“3.3 Voting” says:
| You don't have to track the pre-vote discussions, as the secretary will issue
| several calls for votes on <debian-devel-announce@lists.debian.org> (and all
| developers are expected to be subscribed to that list). Democracy doesn't work
| well if people don't take part in the vote, which is why we encourage all
| developers to vote. Voting is conducted via GPG-signed/encrypted email
| messages.

That's what I've been thinking for years now, but that doesn't seem to be
correct. As pointed out to me some weeks ago, vote.debian.org[1] only mentions
debian-vote@:
| 1. The electronic mailing list designated is debian-vote@lists.debian.org. This
| is the authoritative source of the full text of all resolutions, as well as the
| supporting arguments and other material. Proposals, or sponsorship motions
| shall not be recognized if sent to any other mailing list.

 1. http://www.debian.org/vote/howto_proposal.en.html

While I think sending call for votes to dda@ is a very nice thing, it only
looks like being an habit. It'd be nice to either fix your statement, or
discuss it with vote.debian.org people (and maybe reassigning accordingly), or
slap me with the bits I may have missed.

If you want to thank someone, that would be Thomas Weber (X-Debbugs-CC'd).

Thanks for your time.

Mraw,
KiBi.
